Aspiring Software Engineer · Greater Atlanta, GA
CS student at WGU with a foundation of hands-on leadership. I thrive when I am learning something new and building something meaningful alongside others.
Hey, I'm Sergio Banuelos — a Computer Science student at WGU and an aspiring software engineer in the Atlanta area. I spent years as a construction foreman managing crews of up to eight people, and I bring that same mindset to engineering. Lately I've been building real things: CeREbrus, a multi-agent enterprise platform built solo at a national AI hackathon on Google's Agent Development Kit and Gemini, deployed live during the competition; a Valorant performance analyzer that coaches the mental side of competitive play; and DineroClaro, a bilingual financial-literacy app built at a hackathon hosted by Georgia State. My goal: land my first software engineering role, keep shipping, and grow into a senior engineer. Thanks for watching.
A half-minute introduction, straight from the player.
Hi, my name is Sergio Banuelos, and I'm an aspiring software engineer based in the greater Atlanta area, currently working toward my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Western Governors University. My path into tech isn't the traditional one — I spent years leading crews as a construction foreman, which taught me to communicate under pressure and keep a team moving toward a goal. Now I put that same drive into building software. Thanks for stopping by my portfolio.

Leadership was not a bullet point here — it was eight people, every morning.
Squad management, IRL edition — reading a pack of temperaments at once is the best systems training there is.

The planet you are standing on is coursework — a frameworkless build in pure HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript for WGU's Web Development classes, alongside the three-page classic portfolio. github.com/SergioB03/resume-v2
Every competency earned moves me closer to the engineer I am becoming.
A cross-platform mobile app that empowers the underserved Hispanic community in Atlanta through financial literacy — track spending, understand cash flow, and learn core financial concepts in an accessible, culturally relevant way, bridging a gap left by traditional banking tools.
Architected with separate app/, backend/, database/, services/, and ai/ layers for clean separation of concerns.

IN DEVELOPMENT
This project is personal. I have been a ranked Valorant player for years — coaching tools obsess over aim and game sense while ignoring what actually wins matches: the mental game. So I am building the tool I wanted to exist.

Built solo at lablab.ai's “Transforming Enterprise Through AI” hackathon: an enterprise retail intelligence platform on Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Gemini.

GAME SAVED
My wife, four dogs, and four cats — two of the cats are rescues we could not turn away.
A party of eight: Mom and Dad, me (the oldest), Kim, Camilla and her little daughter, and the two youngest — Cielo and Dylan. Our roots trace back to San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and there is a family farm in the picture too — complete with a cow. Both made it onto the globe.
Weekends start early on a Chattahoochee trail with the pack. Most weekday mornings I commute into Atlanta on purpose — the city is where I find my headspace, draw inspiration from the hustle, and make the connections that shape my career.
Ranked Valorant and Overwatch queues — read the situation, adapt, iterate, come back sharper. The same mindset I bring to engineering.
